Onwards and upwards with the short rests! This is the last day deloaded. Next week I go full throttle. The only change planned for today is to try to head up to 20 reps on one set of pistols.
Warm Up (5 mins)
Main (20 mins)
1. Pistols/Pillar Jumps/Leg Extension (12/20x25kg P, 12x30kg LE)
2. HSPU/Press/Snatch (BWx1, 12/10x12kg, 8x12kg)
3. Chins (8xBW+20kg, 8xBW, 8xBW)
4. Tucked Ice Cream Maker (6, 6, 6)
Short rests make things waaaay hard. I guessed at a weight for the Pistols and started to lose form around rep 12 - so it ended there. The same with the Leg Extensions. Wasn't sure what weight to start on, so guessed and stopped when form fell away.
The HSPU made a return - and I almost got a second one. 30s rest then some presses (DB), and then after another 30s, a final set.
The chins were quite comfortable ...up until the last two reps on the last set. Eight reps at BW with a 20kg plate hanging off me isn't that bad. But once again, 30s rests mean the fatigue does pile up.
As with everything else, TICM are hard with short rests. Not much more to give after this round - so much for deloading!
The whole workout was done in 20mins (plus and extra 5mins warm up). I went harder than anticipated once or twice, but broadly, feeling happy about how things are going.
